Matariki Celbrations 2013

The Dawn Viewing of Matariki was held on Sunday 23rd June at the top of ANZAC Bay with a good crowd braving the coolish conditions to see glimpses of the cluster, and to hear some of the local history, while enjoying hot soup and the sunrise.

There were loads of smiles, lots of waiata (songs) and plenty of Maori action songs at the Hikoi (walk) and performance by the combined Waihi schools and pre-schools.
