Enjoy your Easter treats and have fun in the Hauraki!
New Zealand moved to the Orange traffic light setting at 11.59 pm last night, Wednesday 13 April, just in time for Easter and the school holidays.
What perfect timing to get out and explore with family and friends!
Every long weekend we see large numbers of people heading out to enjoy holiday destinations and activities.
If you’re travelling, plan ahead for possible holiday congestion. Consider leaving when traffic is lighter, either early in the morning or later at night, or look for an alternative route to stay safe on the road.
With good weather forecast for Easter our local businesses will be looking forward to rolling out the welcome mat for visitors, and to catching up with locals.
Enjoy your Easter treats and have fun in the Hauraki!
At the same time, remember to be vigilant and stay safe. Masks are still a requirement and let’s get out there and show local businesses our support.
