Have you taken a stroll through the Waihi Butterfly Garden?
The Butterfly Garden is a combined project between Habitat Enhancement and Landcare Partnership (HELP) Waihi and Herb Waihi (formerly the Waihi Herb Society).
Volunteers have cleared an area of the Mill Stream Walkway where flowers and plants raised from seed have been massed to attract butterflies.
A calm sunny autumnal day is the perfect time to meander along the Mill Stream Walkway and catch the Monarch butterflies chasing each other around this butterfly oasis just a minute’s walk behind the Waihi Squash Club on Baker Street.
